S Fasnacht Zwillingspiil

The two graphic designers and artists Guido Happle and Tarek Moussalli present “s’Fasnachts Zwillingsspiil”. The 48-piece, high-quality wooden memory game made in Basel is decorated with 24 lovingly illustrated carnival symbols.

Twins game
In the twins game, you search for the exact same pair of pictures. Whoever has found the most pairs of pictures at the end wins. The rules usually don’t need to be explained – the game principle is so familiar and simple.

This fun memory training game for young and old now comes in a new guise, with colourful carnival heroes! These bring characters such as the “Blätzlibajass” and the “Hemmliglunggi” to life and invite you to marvel and discuss. This not only trains the memory, but also cultivates the Basel German vocabulary.

Design
The game was designed by the two Basel artists, graphic designers and illustrators Guido Happle and Tarek Moussalli. It is the first collaboration between the two two-time winners of the plaque competition, who have known each other since their youth. Both are carnival enthusiasts with heart and soul, so it quickly became clear that a carnival memory game would be their first joint project.

Local production
The designers made a conscious decision in favour of high-quality, local production. The games were produced by the Basel-based Weizenkorn Foundation, a social enterprise that mainly employs people with support needs. They experience acceptance and appreciation in a meaningful activity. Over 300 people are employed in a supported workplace or are completing a training programme. Weizenkorn has been in existence since 1979 and is recognised by the federal and cantonal authorities as a sheltered workshop and as a provider of vocational assessments.

Available at the GiZ-Shop at Peterskirchplatz 14. Also at Bider & Tanner at Bankverein and at Spielegge on Spalenberg.
